It is, as they say, in the jury’s hands, and we won’t know the outcome for a while. However, I think Donald Trump, the only sitting or former president ever tried in a criminal court,  has already won, politically.  I’ll explain why in a minute, but first let’s review

After more than a year of investigating Manhattan’s chief prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, brought a complex business fraud case against the would-be dictator. He used a law that allowed him to raise misdemeanors to the felony level if they are committed in furtherance of another crime, namely the violation of campaign finance laws.
