Well said!! The only thing to add is possibly have the Commander-in-Chief cut back on the millions spent for his golf outings and Kim Jong Un style NASCAR power parades.

Not to mention trips to the Super Bowl.

I am embarrassed to be a American right now. Throwing Ukraine under the bus and joining up with the War Crimes (Putin) is a absolute disgrace among other things. Europe needs to get their act together because we are going to be of no help. Canada has every right to be booing us at the hockey games and if I was there I'd be booing right with them. We can blame the 77 million that voted for this tyrant and the 90 million that didn't vote at all. 167 million fools!

We pay the Security details also and the hotel rooms wherever he stays, and the fuel for Airforce One, and the food on that plane (lots of cheeseburgers and fries!) We probably also pay for all the meals when they travel and at Mar-A-Lago. God knows what they cost! But THOSE things don't get cut. Kinzinger is very right here.

Ahh Lynette, I was thinking the exact same thing! I would like to know how much did it cost the American taxpayers for drumpf to go to the Super Bowl and then to NASCAR. I am sure that the small amount I receive every month from social security will never be what one of those trips cost. Also the weekend golf jaunts to mar-a-lardo…what do they cost?

Thank you for saying this out loud, Adam. You are so appreciated!

He also used to bitch and moan about how often Obama played golf and of course he golfed twice as much. The hypocrisy just blows my mind.

Trump, during his 1st term, spent in the 1st few years, over $100m for golfing & staying at his resorts, largely, for his & Secret service costs. No break/ discount there. Some failing resorts saw a boost in receipts. I stopped counting after that, when I read his costs in 2 years, exceeded President Obama & his families vacations in 8 years/2 terms, as well as his time out of the WH. Yet you keep hearing from some folks, “ oh but president trump didn’t take a salary. He “donated” it to some charity of his choice. A president’s salary runs about $450k annually. I think he received his salary, significant vacation time & golfing/ resort fees at his golf resorts/ hotels ( at tax payers expense) over 100 times his 4 years worth of salary.

But….What can you say. Grifters always gonna grift. Liars always gonna lie. Malignant narcissists always gonna cry, about how people are so unfair to them, while taking aim at others.

I don’t generally enjoy being unkind, but I’m beyond tired, disgusted & fed up; so I’ll extend this one wish. To trump’s good health. May he never run out of greasy McDonald’s cheeseburgers, fries, until he can’t eat one more…and may his bought & paid for alliance with defacto President musk & mini me x, drive him to madness.

Expand full comment

I am no authority but i believe the AP(?) brings the Super Bowl to over $5 million; and each golf game close to that amount because of Secret Service protections. Could be he submits the charges for green fees for his foursomes as well. Just kidding. Or maybe not

How about 15%? And then revisit why it is exactly that Prince Elon can benefit personally from government contracts and still have his unelected fingers in all the government pies?

You are so right, Lala! The thought of Musk having his dirty, thieving fingers in my tax records, personal information, and social security makes me want to wretch. I worked all my days and contributed to SS and 401k's only to reach retirement age and have it STOLEN by a billionaire who has no concept of working and grifts off me and my fellow citizens is appalling.

Yes, that is what he tells himself. He needs to return to South Africa and "save" his homeland by building Tesla factories and space stations and cleaning up government waste and inefficiency. By the way, while he is there, he can declare himself King and establish his monarchy.

No, he left that party. Plus I don’t think they will ever be the same again—at least not for a long time. And people are NOT going to vote for Republicans after we get through this. There will be zero trust in the Republicans. For the majority anyway.

Can we please start the Class Action lawsuit as Congressman Rankin suggested. Musk is still a private citizen. He has stolen our identities. And for some this is critical and for all it is illegal. Regardless of Presidential directives.

Congress isn’t doing their job so let’s cut their salaries out.

Expand full comment

Yes. Slash salaries, move them all into a bare and dreary room where they all have to sit on crappy metal fold-out chairs at wobbly tables (like high school detention). Then, rotate in classes of kids, I don’t know, freshman in high school? And let them “play congress”. Make it a contest; let them figure out what a REAL senate and house can and cannot do, how the money works, etc. The Dems can be there (obviously) to teach and guide the kids.

Just a fantasy, I know :-/

but I bet any group of teenagers would do much better than the current MAGA/Rs that do nothing but make up stupid kids-ass bills while they miss Trump’s ass and take up space.

They’re LYING of course. Puh-lease. If people just wouldn’t buy Teslas anymore, and more importantly, SELL ALL THEIR STOCKS in his company, he would be done. DONE. Same with Bozos and Amazon. But people love their things and their money more than taking down a whack job and beyond rich enough douchebag.

elon musk is in control of trump. I believe he has something on trump that he could use to end trumps presidency, and he is using that leverage to gain access to all of the data of the federal government. The firing of employees is just to give him time to collect all of the data. Elon wants all of the data !!! once the data has become unsecured it can never be secured again. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EFFICIENCY he just wants the data!!!

There is nothing except a Luigi that could end his presidency. He has the House, Senate and Unsupreme Court firmly under his thumb, a cult of deranged white nationalists, and total immunity as decreed by the corrupt Republicans on the unsupreme court.

If trump's personal financial solvency is in elon's hands that is enough to control trump. In the press conference in the oval office elon showed his dominance by standing while trump sat (elon master trump servant). elon brought his toddler to taunt trump.

Such a display of patheticness. Little kid stood there picking his nose. Anyone seen this video of F-er Carlson interviewing Musk w/his little minion? The things that kid was parroting…day-um! BUT it is edited in a very sus way, so Idk.

But with out a doubt, they messed with the election. They did steal it. Voter suppression laws enacted by red states, as well as—remember all of those bomb threats? Got everyone out and away for awhile. The things they were saying? He got all 7 swing states? They were way too confident. No offense to the voting machine companies, but I sincerely think we need to go back to full on paper ballot counting. Australia still does it that way.

Expand full comment

I mentioned 32 bomb threats in Atlanta alone on election day to a democrat, and they hadn't heard about it! From Russian sources. Very targeted. We all talked about the voter suppression until the election. Then we forgot about it? Trump didn't win an election, he won the war against open elections.
