Emergency Post: Johnson Motion to Vacate

Dems can save Ukraine with this

MTG, the consistent and enthusiastic clown of Congress, just filed a motion to vacate the Speakership as a result of the spending bill that just passed the House.

This is the democrats big chance… to make sure the foreign aid bill is passed.

With only a couple votes to spare to keep Johnson as speaker, it appears near impossible for him to survive the vacate action. Democrats will need to save him by providing a sufficient number of votes to overcome the GOP defections. This should not come free, and I’m sure it wont.

With the war in Ukraine raging, this is a big opportunity for Democrats to ensure Ukraine gets the funding it needs, and its simple. Tell Johnson to put the bill on the floor before going home for recess (another two week break) and in exchange, he will survive this effort.

UPDATE: It appears she will not call this up yet. Expect a few weeks of absolute insanity as the right wing media rage-for-profit-ecosphere spins up the base to vacate the Speakership. Likely this will make the above scenario more likely, though again delayed.
