We need to support Ukraine. My uncles and father fought in WW2. I'm was a combat marine in Vietnam. When I came home 2 of my uncles described liberating nazi concentration camps to me. I'll never forget that conversation. We need to help Ukraine because Putin will spread this war and we're already feeling his power in this country. Do or die.
100% agree. To turn our backs on our NATO allies, and NATO adjacent countries is a travesty and a disservice to all who've served and those who've died in defense of freedom.

If the GOP implodes in November- like I hope and pray that do, is there a Phoenix party that can rise from the ashes? Honestly, I am a dyed in the wool Democrat, but I believe Democracy needs competing parties who can govern by compromise.
There are other groups, as well, that are discussing this issue and how to forge alliances to create a new conservative party. It looks like serious people are working through how to establish a new party. HTH

Thank you, Adam, for continuing to provide your unique perspective and give me some small glimmer of hope. I have voted Republican for most of the elections the last fifty years (except I never voted for D.T.) The tears I shed on Jan. 6 have frequently returned when I see the destruction MAGA is causing. I am so disheartened by the lack of a moral backbone by Republicans in Congress. What has happened to decency and compromise and ethics? You and Liz are my few bright spots. Please continue to be a voice for reason. I know it can't be easy and I cannot imagine the toll it has taken on your family as well. But thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My concern is this. I know this is America and we are a great power. However, what if there becomes a time America needs help and we've turned our back on these other countries that can help us. Who are they going to blame then and more importantly, who's going to help us. I know it's a far-fetched idea but it's a realistic idea
Ally, the only wise leaders are those that realize the world is often messy and we all need to help each other. That sure leaves a lot of world leaders out right now, but the good ones need to stick together and help each other. Trust is the key and something that, in my book, we all need to work on every day, but also verify because there will always be people and countries that pretend to be your friend, but when push comes to shove are not!!
