Absolutely... I thought this when I heard about Navalny's death. Putin is getting comfy, cozy and it should be a signal. Sound the alarms!

Adam I'm not saying this for the sake of saying it but you are a leader. You really are. Your future in in American Leadership.

Real Leadership.

You make a difference everyday.

I know you do in all of our

lives right here on a daily basis.

I know you do in mine.

Before I discovered Substack I would watch the news everyday desperately trying to find the Answer to the Question.

When will all of this chaos be resolved

When will it stop? And I just got pulled into the news doom loop over and over again.

I then saw that you were on substack. I joined and it has changed my whole outlook.

Really.

I see the glass half full again.

I can come here and find perspectives that are positive and supportive.

Your words Your courage Your insights and most of all your never ever giving up on The United States Of America.

Seriously

It makes a difference.

And leaders make a difference when they believe in the people they are leading.

Thank you for being that Leader.

I hope so much that I get the opportunity to vote for you

I called all the people you listed a few days ago telling them to say no to donald trump and to do the right thing and make sure ukraine aid is passed and put through that they are our allies and they are in dire need. That we are the beacon of democracy and the world needs us to lead. I said please you have a chance to really make a difference

Hopefully something good will come out of this.

Ukraine needs to be fully funded. The US is being held hostage to the Republican House crazies.

Get your asses back to DC now and do your jobs. Speaker Johnson has blood on his hands!

The timing of the murder seems odd. Wonder what Vlad is thinking by inflaming US public opinion when the Ukraine war is potentially going his way?

I agree. I was actually speculating that Putin is running scared or at least nervous. I know, I know. But killing off his enemies like this indicates that he is worried about something. It wasn't enough to poison Navalny - he recovered. It wasn't enough to drum up bogus charges and imprison him. Then more bogus charges and drag him off to the Arctic Circle. And still, his protest and team persevered. Putin gets nervous, someone falls out of a high window.

100%, right on target. (Please get back into politics, I’m a Dem saying this, it’s no longer red or blue, it’s love of country and our democracy.) I see how weak we appear on the international stage. When the Republicans fail to stand up for what they know is right, in order to score re-election points, we look weak. More important, when we are not united behind a country fighting for their own democracy against a socialist dictator, what the hell? A weakened state is when we are most vulnerable. The Navalney murder should be the huge catalyst. RIP Navalney, a menche who wasn’t afraid to stand up for what is right.

And as far as speaker Johnson goes or as he likes refer to himself as " Moses" He's too much of a coward as well. He'll sit there and pray in the corner for resolve but nothing will change. He won't do a thing. These are our public officials. These are people we put into power. We give it and we take it. We've been generous long enough. It's time to take back the power. Remind these politicians who they work for. It's not Donald Trump.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. No truer words have ever been spoken. As far as the bible thumpers go, they incorporate what they feel supports their ideals and they ignore what doesn't fit their agenda.

Mike Johnson is in way over his head. Pelosi must be shaking her head at how inept he is. Hakeem Jeffries is taking notes on what not to do when he is Speaker in 2025

Chilling. Religious zealots of any stripe are dangerous. And I’d add, their God is oddly malleable for any occasion, and more hate filled than the one I learned about. I was going to write, “What’s the point?” Then I realized, it’s a version of “total immunity”.

Sadly, the House Republicans are signaling capitulation to Putin. The Russian people protested against his aggression against the Ukraine. The fear of retribution that they feel is real. What does Trump tell his supporters? He is their retribution. Trump admires this. He admires ruthless fascism. We must vote against the Putin/Trump ticket and it's agenda.
