Amen brother. I totally agree. Trump will be melting down right in front of our eyes. Nothing really needs to be done on that front. They call it narcissistic collapse.

Your optics for Biden are right on too. Create the persona that people respond to and right now it is steady strength. Just like Trump’s use of the DeSantis’ God ordained commercial format, use the flash and dash energy that fits up a crowd. And he should dance on an off the stage. I’m certain he doesn’t look as pathetic as the Orange King with his stupid little fists and dumb face. And last but not least, forget about MAGA cult members, they will stay while the kool aid kills them.

Keep up the good work Adam. You rock! Still would love to see you run. Maybe with Pete Buttigieg. Two military men portray a lot of strength, power, and you both are smooth as silk at handling the press. I’m certain people would love a young bipartisan ticket. Just sayin’.

Right? Smart, articulate, energetic, ability to show how to engage with other perspectives, damn good looking. That matters! Think Kennedy v Nixon Not only that, it harkens back to the early history of this country in fact the first election contested by party, 1796.

From Wikipedia

“The Federalists coalesced behind Adams and the Democratic-Republicans supported Jefferson, but each party ran multiple candidates. Under the electoral rules in place prior to the Twelfth Amendment, the members of the Electoral College each cast two votes, with no distinction made between electoral votes for president and electoral votes for vice president. The individual with the votes of a majority of electors became president, and the runner-up became vice president. If there was a tie for first place or no person won a majority, the House of Representatives would hold a contingent election. Also, if there were a tie for second place, the vice presidency, the Senate would hold a contingent election to break the tie.

The campaign was a bitter one, with Federalists attempting to identify the Democratic-Republicans with the violence of the French Revolution[2] and the Democratic-Republicans accusing the Federalists of favoring monarchism and aristocracy. Republicans sought to associate Adams with the policies developed by fellow Federalist Alexander Hamilton during the Washington administration, which they declaimed were too much in favor of Great Britain and a centralized national government. In foreign policy, Republicans denounced the Federalists over the Jay Treaty, which had established a temporary peace with Great Britain. Federalists attacked Jefferson's moral character, alleging he was an atheist and that he had been a coward during the American Revolutionary War.”

Very interesting and very pertinent history especially in light of how the Federalist’s today cast themselves v how it truly was. As you will see, this same BS has been going on as long as we have been a country.

Taking it one step further would be also using Washington’s Farewell address, written post the Constitutional Convention which was a chaotic mess of partisanship, warning of how men in search of their own power would rise within a party and destroy democracy.

Another great introduction into the shaping of the dialog. Can you see a Washington character reading the lines from the address flashing Trumps face in the background with the lemmings Republican kissing his ass? Good optics 😂

Sadly I doubt that the country is ready for a gay VP or President. A woman like Cheney may have a better chance, but possibly too soon for that too in the present environment.

I think that we’re ready for Pete. He is smart, warm, capable, and the (non-Trumpist) American voting public is ready for such a leader.

Absolutely. Our best position right now is that of the observer and to NOT give trump any attention, to move past his lame ass. Attention is his supply lack of attention is his Waterloo. His death alone in a bunker.

Right, Biden needs to be out there more and show his livelier more fun side to counter the narrative going around, that he's too old, he's boring, he doesn't have much energy and stamina, he's not inspiring in the sense that Obama was, young people don't like him, etc. In the meantime, hopefully Trump has his narcissistic collapse, an epic meltdown brought on by being constantly triggered by Biden and the stress of the trials and other troubles.

Excellent advice. If it is Trump against Biden this country needs Biden to win the election. Adam I hope in the future you could announce support for Biden and hopefully convince Liz Cheney to do the same. You may not agree on the policies of Biden but he is the one who can protect our democracy and retain the respect of world leaders.

Adam, I hope the Biden camp reads this and gleans just a few, if not all, the strategies that you’ve proposed. I can tell you’ve thought about this for a minute and seem to have possibly found the “chink” in tfg’s armor. I do believe that the visuals that you describe could go a long way to change some perceptions of Biden. Many people are visual rather than audio learners. It seems that listing the economic achievements of Biden aren’t resounding in people’s thoughts and many are choosing to listen to Republican lies about how horrible the economy is. You are correct that the politics of yesteryear will not work in today’s culture. Heard Liz Chaney’s MLK speech and it was awesome. To both you and her, (and Christy and anyone else interested in truth) please keep speaking aloud about what this election is all about, keeping our democracy alive and functioning. Thank you for your thoughts and excellent analysis.

Excellent strategy, Adam! The Democratic Party needs to get its shit together. Now. They need to invite every ally into the tent. Including you and Liz and Christie and Asa. Instead they're acting like this campaign is "normal". The petty attacks on potential allies must stop. Talk to your contacts at the DNC and get them focused on winning the White House. The petty tribal BS must stop.

Biden won in 2020 by being…Biden. Trump lost by a fair margin, and it does not seem that his base has expanded much. But Adam is correct that perception is everything. Projecting strength and decency against weakness and immorality in a way that Americans can hear it, is paramount. I do hope that principled conservatives can be vocal in supporting President Biden. Every voice helps.

According to the Des Moines Register, 110,208 out of 752,200 registered Republicans participated in the Iowa caucuses. Trump got 51% or about 56,206 of those who participated. According to the Independent Voter Project, there are about 2,083,979 registered voters in Iowa, 34.5% R, 30.31% D, 0.9% “3rd Party” and 34.31% “Unaffiliated”. Trump’s 56,206 represents only 2.7% of registered voters in Iowa. The media makes Trumps victory seem huge but then covering Trump puts food on so many tables... he’s good for their business. Unfortunately Trump is bad for the country. Trump’s opposition had better sharpen their game because while Trump’s disciples are highly motivated to vote for him, the vast majority of voters can consign him to the dust bin of history if they just go out and vote in the general election.

In a 24/7/365 news cycle Trumps antics are irresistible. The best thing the media could do is take his oxygen away and ignore him but because he keeps so many of them employed, that’s the last thing they’ll do. Tabloid journalism.

I am 72, and to me Trump looks like someone who is not going to be here much longer. Obese, bad diet, no exercise, not enough sleep time, and he goes berserk under the least amount of stress. That may just be scratching the surface. If he survives the current trial, the one in Georgia is to be televised. The entire world will see how fast he unravels and throws fits like the toddler that he is. Without his daily make-up and the movie star prep that he gets every day the world would see him as he really is: a broken egg shell of a retarded and hated old man.

Biden should also point out Trump's string of failures that predate his administration. Trump has been losing in court for years--and not because of a weaponized DOJ that is "controlled" by Biden. In addition, he should point out all the Trump White House and Cabinet appointees who left his administration because they think he is corrupt, incompetent, dangerous. Point out the turnover in Trump's administration. Clinton kept the same Attorney General for 8 years--one who made no effort to remove a special counsel to investigate Clinton.

On another note, people continuously underestimate Biden. He's wracking up victories in the policy arena rather than whining about how MAGA Republicans refuse to accept his legitimate victory in the 2020 election.

Very good piece and agree with you. Trump is a very weak toddler pretending to be a big, commanding man who deserves to be the leader of the free world. Perception is key and Biden needs to put himself out there, showing he is fit and a true leader of the United States. He is a statesman though and through and he needs to present that to the country, each and every day.

Another great article, Adam! I still have faith in the American people that the majority will choose a repeat of the decent, hardworking man vs. a criminal, narcissist con man.

As John Kloc pointed out, the actual numbers of voters in Iowa that participated vs. the perception of a huge trump win.

I believe the media represents a minority of voters who are willing to be outspoken. We do know trump's marketing creates that. I don't know anyone who has ever been included in a political poll!

In the addition to the other marketing ideas, 📺just run over and over the hours President Biden has worked vs. trump's! There would be no comparison 🏌️⛳

I believe there are more people who will vote "Biden" for his strength as a man of Faith (like Adam) vs. a very -flawed man who thinks he IS a god.
