My Statement on McCarthy

"As a lifelong Republican, the current chaos in the House GOP conference deeply saddens me. Years of appeasing the most extreme elements of the right have brought the party to this point, and I fear things will continue to get worse before they get better. 

I continue to urge Republican leaders, and especially Republican voters, to reject this type of political nihilism and put Country First. This chaos will cause inevitable damage to the GOP and, more importantly, the country and it is time we all demanded better up and down the ballot next year. America deserves FAR better”
