Not Just Another Political Substack

(I promise!)

With the impending release of my book, RENEGADE, which promises to be a comprehensive look at how we got to this place of insanity in our politics, I realized this needed to be more than a one and done shot….so…here we are substack.

I know what you’re thinking…”Oh, another political Substack.”  How do I know?  Because I think that every time I see one.

This is different.  I promise.  For one thing, I’m bringing to the ‘stack’ more than a decade of pent-up secrets, a wealth of observations about the craven nature of the many hacks trusted with the country’s future, and insider takes on the ridiculous world of insecure, incompetent and selfish debate-team savants who flimflam the nation. And with a little unpacking their tricks come into focus. For example:

What does a politician mean when they say “we need to have a conversation about A, B, or C.,” or “we need to take a deep look into XYZ” (Spoiler:  It means they are punting the answer while sounding reasonable.) What happens when the government shuts down, and what does the average house member think about that?  (Spoiler: they hate it, but worse, they hate going outside of the Fox News talking points.) Who has the most punchable face in politics?  Hint:

I want to build a community, and not in a stupid nebulous sense where we pretend to push for some utopian idea of America that doesn’t exist and has never existed.  No, I’m talking about a community of sharp elbows and serious debate, but also of respect for and understanding of, differences.

I love flying airplanes, so expect a bunch of that thrown in the mix!

In short, the free subscription will be mostly my public thoughts, and the paid will add my private thoughts.

Think about it. A years-long subscription costs the same as a fairly fun night at the bar where you refuse to buy drinks for anyone but yourself, or a tame night at the bar where you buy a round for the group then go home.
