This is not the general election. This is selecting a member of the Democratic Party. If you didn’t vote in the primary to select a Democratic candidate, then why would you think you should be able to select a replacement for the winner of the Democratic primary? Do you think a Democrat should be able to vote to select a Republican candidate without declaring they are switching to the Republican Party first? The ballots in a primary require you to choose a Democratic ballot or a Republican ballot.
If Adam wants it first ?…and does he have to change to a NPA/Independent? Would he would be allowed by party rules to run w Harris or not?? That’s the question.

As long as there is a Democrat in power to replace them with another good Dem or old-fashioned “work across the aisle Republican” (is there such a thing anymore?), I hope some of our young “thinkers and doers” get elevated to cabinet positions.
Also, we need to honor and value the older crowd who must show them how good governance works. That is key.

The biggest issue with NOT sticking with Harris as I understand it is that donations would have to be returned since they were for a specific campaign/candidates and not the DNC as a whole. So whoever is chosen would be starting from scratch financially.
