Hey everyone. When I started this substack I had no clue what to expect. I’m not the biggest fan of writing, and I wondered if anyone really wanted to subscribe to my musings!
This last year has seen massive growth, both of my Country First movement, but importantly this substack. In fact, we had lightning growth AFTER the re-election of Trump. That tells me that contrary to what some of the pundits say, there is still a strong group of people who believe America is better than this, and will continue to fight for that.
I know the election has put a wet blanket on our optimism, but especially after the last few weeks l, I’m even more convinced that MAGA will fail and in four years (and two in the midterms) there will be a resounding demand to return to putting adults into these adult positions. I often am asked if I intend to run again, and I can honestly say I don’t know, but what I absolutely do know is that there is no way I will give up on this fight, even if I am alone. But this community of substack has made it very clear, I’m not alone!
I will continue to do everything in my power to present to people a choice, an alternative, and remind them that the sacrifices of so many in our history shall not be wasted… but that good men and women rise up in times of challenge. We have to pick sides, and I (and you) choose democracy, decency, and freedom.
We refuse to be the first generation to leave the country worse off than we inherited, and like every challenge in the past, we will overcome this again.
God bless you all. I look forward to a new year together, continuing to build this “sometimes awkward alliance to defend democracy.”
Thank you for sacrificing your job, to do the right thing! Character still matters( even if 49% of our Country, does’t care.) It’s an awful place we are. I can tell you, as a Boomer, I NEVER thought I would see my government, so teetering on an edge of destruction. Bless you, and yours, for all you do- now and in the future.
Happy New Year and thank you for your leadership.
